Google Pay has become a common platform which people use to make bill payments and transfer money. Also known as 'G Pay', this is a digital wallet and a payment system by Google. The app enables in-person and online, contactless purchases via tablets, Android phones, and watches.

Steps on How to Add Credit Card in Google Pay India

  • Step 1: First, download G Pay on your mobile.
  • Step 2: Once you open Google Pay, click on your profile picture.
  • Step 3: Select 'Bank Accounts and Cards'.
  • Step 4: Now, click on 'Add card.
  • Step 5: Type in your credit card number, the expiry date, and the CVV.
  • Step 6: Now enter your name and the billing address.
  • Step 7: Click on 'Save'.
  • Step 8: Click on 'Accept issuer Terms & conditions'.
  • Step 9: Google Pay will contact your bank and verify the credit card.
  • Step 10: You will be asked for an authentication through OTP.
  • Step 11: Once you enter the OTP, next to the credit card's payment methods, click on 'Activate'.
  • Step 12: Type in your one-time password.
  • Step 13: You will see a confirmation of the card having been added.

How to Remove Credit Cards from Google Pay

Just as it is easy to add a credit card, you can also remove a credit card from Google Pay. You can follow these steps:

  • Step 1: On your mobile, you have to open 'Google Pay'.
  • Step 2: Click on 'Settings'.
  • Step 3: Choose 'Payment methods'.
  • Step 4: Select the credit card that you have to remove.
  • Step 5: Click on 'Remove card'.

Change the Default Tap and Pay Card

  • Step 1: Once you open Google Pay, click on 'Settings'.
  • Step 2: Choose 'Account services'.
  • Step 3: Follow the instructions that come up on the screen and change your default Tap & pay card.
